🔥 ASADERO LA MAMONA Llanero tradition – Open-fire roast
With over 30 years of history, La Mamona is Yopal’s most iconic spot for authentic carne a la llanera. They also serve pork, catfish sancocho, casseroles, and traditional breakfasts. On some days, there’s live joropo music.
Local tip: arrive early. They prepare a limited amount of meat each day—when it’s gone, it’s gone.

🥘 PIQUETEADERO LA CABULLA Local history – Weekends only
A traditional Llanero spot known for its chicken sancocho and barrel-roasted pork. It originally operated by the river, near La Cabulla bridge on the road to El Morro, until a fire forced its relocation—its legacy, however, remains intact.
Today it continues as a reference for authentic, no-frills local cuisine, with a rustic, family-style atmosphere.

🦢 DOÑA BÁRBARA Nature – Tradition – Garcero
A traditional Colombian restaurant located 8 km from downtown Yopal on the Sirivana road, right across from the Garcero del Llano. More than a restaurant—this is an experience.
Their specialty is free-range chicken, served with blood sausage, chorizo, and their well-known cheese arepas. There’s also a small viewing platform to watch herons, especially between January and March. Open-air setting, ideal for families.
